A:
Great question! The quick answer is yes!
Now for the more confusing, but more complete answer….
Hilton Grand Vacation Club members basically have three reservation periods: a home resort window, a club reservation window, and an open reservation window.
The home resort window allows you to make a reservation at your home resort only up to one year prior to check-in. You must reserve a full week in the unit type and season that you own.
The club reservation window is available up to 9 months prior to check-in. Owners can make a reservation at any resort based on availability in any unit type and season. The reservation must be for a minimum of three days.
The open open reservation window is available up to 30 days prior to check-in. Again, owners can book at any resort during any season. Reservations are based on availability and require a minimum stay of two nights.
For destination resorts such as the Hilton Club New York, and many of the Hawaii resorts- finding availability during the club reservation window can be hard to find! Many owners who own New York and Hawaii always stay at their home resort, so most weeks are reserved during the home reservation window. This is why it often recommended to purchase the home resort that you plan on using most often. If you bought Orlando and expected to trade each year for prime weeks in either New York or Hawaii, you may end up disappointed!
You will also want to make sure you find out about miscellaneous fees that may be required for specific destinations. For example, a New York reservation may also require parking fees, daily housekeeping fees, and a mandatory breakfast fee. The reservations department can provide you with all the info you’ll need!
HGVC is one of the most popular point systems in the industry and can provide years of luxury vacations with incredible flexibility for owners.
