No. It is located across the street from the beach (one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida in my opinion by the way!)..
The gulfside units have an unobstructed view though.. And traffic on Scenic 98 is normally very light, so it doesn’t have much impact.
In Destin, there are few choices that are actually on the beach. Don’t hesitate to book at any of the Wyndhams.. I’ve stayed at both Majestic Sun and also the Beach Street Cottages and enjoyed both stays (although the Cottages offer a much quieter and relaxed atmosphere in my view!)..
Make that reservation and enjoy! There is a great restaurant called Dewey Destins (or something very close to that) that is located in a little hole in the wall shack. It’s mostly a locals hideaway, but has fantastic food and reasonable prices! If you want a more touristy feel, AJ’s is a lively place with a restaurant downstairs and a lively bar upstairs.
